Wedge
Hello Girls and Boys,
My name is Racing Wedge, but you can call me Wedge. I am a race car.
A wedge is in the shape of a triangle. It is one of the six simple machines.
It can be used to split two objects like a piece of wood, lift up an object, or hold an object in place.
I am shaped in a wedge because that makes me more aerodynamic. Aerodynamics means studying how air travels around something. I am streamlined. Streamlining means that because I am a wedge, I can move through air very fast. The word aerodynamic comes from Aero (Air), and Dynamic (Moving).
